In Windows 7, if you directly modify the Start Menu (via the file system) - for example, to rename an application icon or move it to another location, this is immediately reflected when you search for the program by name in the Start Menu Search.
However, in Windows 8, I've noticed that that is not the case. It will still show the old name (which of course, won't load anything) until reboot.
How can I fix this so that changes are instantly reflected, as they should be?
