"We'll be right back" message

When I click the start button , the desktop displays a black column to the right of the screen with the following words in white "We'll be right back."

What does this mean?

When I right click in the black column, I have the following options

Headline App off
Display news

Clicking on either does nothing.

It's an App you have activated or installed. Something to do with news probably.

Maybe one of those nasty things that comes hidden in another program installer.

Uninstalling the news and sports apps hasn't solved the issue.

What other apps have you installed or activated?

I found another app called news.net. I clicked on it and it opened with the same message. I uninstalled it but still the black column with the wording remains.

Open Task Manage, see if News is there. If so, right click and End Task.
