Windows 8.1 Tiles

Hello.I have a windows 8.1 laptop.When I bought this lappy from my local pc store he set it up to look like a windows 7 desktop.No tiles.
Now time has moved on and I would like to use the tile method on the desktop,And also does that method come with the taskbar at the bottom,I see some screen shots of w8 with no taskbar.
Is that going to be a difficult job to get the tiles as the desktop and also have the taskbar at the bottom of the desktop??

Yea thanks Brink.Looked at your info,Now when I tap the windows key on the keboard it opens up the all programs like the windows 7 did,It don'open up the tile screen
I don't know how the pc man did this setup to make it look like a windows 7 desktop.
I do have a small coloured icon with start on the top next to the main start icon that look similar to the new w10 logo that come up near the clock.
That start icon was there with the pc man.If I press the small coloured icon I do get the tiles up on screen but how does one get that as a desktop.I hope you understand me.

Ah, you have the 3rd party Classic Shell program installed that changed it from default.

Classic Shell: FAQ

If you didn't want to use Classic Shell anymore, then you could uninstall it in Programs and Features to go back to default.

Thanks for that.Regarding the classic shell,If I did remove it would it cause any major issues.
And if it did would it be okay to reninstall it at a later date.

Uninstalling it would cause you to lose the customizations it made, but yeah you can always reinstall it later if you like.

Yea.I found an item in that link you gave on 404 (Page Not Found) Error - Ever feel like you're in the wrong place? to disable the classic shell.
I'll have a bash at method to see how I get on.
