Hello. I have an ext4 type partition on my hard drive. I also have 5GB of unallocated space. How can I add the unallocated space to the ext4 partition? I would rather not format the partition, since I have data on it, and windows can't read ext4, so I can't back it up. Any help is appreciated.

How about booting from a live Linux from a USB drive or CD and do it from there ?

The unallocated space on the drive has to be below the partition you wish to expand..
You may be able to move the exitsting partitions forward by using Aomei partition assistant
You would have to use a boot disk in order to gain access to the drive - in my sig below is a boot disk that has the program you need..

It is easier to download: Ext2 File System Driver for Windows
Just a single executable then you can read EXT2/EXT3/EXT4 from Windows.
