Completely Disable Charms

Hello,
I'm running a preinstalled version of Windows 8.1 on a Dell Inspiron 3531.
I would like to turn off the charms completely. I've done this in the new (Metro) settings screen but the charms still come up when I use the touchpad and I think it might be a touchpad problem. Does anyone please know how to turn them off completely?

Oh! It is the touchpad. You just click on the arrow for more notifications, then right click on the Dell Touchpad icon, select Properties, click on the Gestures button at the bottom left and... set your preferences.
