This just happened recently. Whenever i open google chrome, nothing happens. Same is true when i am opening windows firewall (I am opening windows firewall to check my firewall settings bec google chrome does not launch).

I have tried to run a system scan - sfc /scannow - and says that there is an error that it cannot fix.

Please help me in solving this problem. I have googled all possible solutions but the problem still arises every time i restart my pc. Thank you in advance and God bless.

Open a Elevated Command Prompt.

Press WIN + X to open Start context menu.
Select Command Prompt (Admin).

Run the following series of commands, up to 3 times, see if that fixes the sfc problem.

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
SFC /scannow

I would suggest you update and run a full anti-virus scan and install and run Malware Bytes Anti Malware (free version).

You should not have to check the Firewall, before launching a program. A lot of times, Chrome will have multiple instances running, so you have to reboot.

If Chrome is having issues, it could be an extension that is causing the whonky behavior. Also Chrome has its own Task Manager. Right Click on any blank area where the tabs are, and then choose "Task Manager". You can then go further and look at all items that are running in Chrome.

If it is an extension issue. You would have to run Chrome in Safe Mode in Run: Chrome.exe --disable-extensions
Some people have been having issues with running Chrome in Metro/Start mode. Desktop mode, not so much.
