Hi everyone.

I just bought a Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro in China (paid 200 euros less than the price in europe) but obviously it came up with a Chinese OS. Though I like learning and speaking chinese, I still can't read it and your tutorial there was pretty useful about changing the OS :

But, as students, we have a free French version of Windows 8.1 available if we ask for it thanks to our university. In your article, you really say it is a bad idea to reinstall the OS, but is it really worth paying 100 bucks for a Pro version if I can get the French OS for free ?
Will I really lose my Lenovo warranty if I change the OS ?

Thank you in advance !

First off go into Control panel > recovery > create a recovery drive
This will save the factory disk setup and factory windows images on a recovery USB

Then clean install your windows version...

If you ever need to go back to factory just boot from your recovery usb and reset your PC

And since it came with windows 8.1 the product key should work with any language version of windows (unless the PC came with the BING edition of windows 8.1)

You can download and create your own windows 8.1 setup media > Create installation media for Windows 8.1 - Windows Help

to find your product key and windows edition - download and run > http://www.tenforums.com/attachment...1429199757-showkey-showkeyplus-v1.0.5584-.zip
