Basically i was messing around with MSconfig the other day and i removed either a critical startup action or file because i restarted my computer and it booted to the BCD error screen. I have a windows 8 recovery USB but It wont let me boot from there since this laptop is a freaking Lenovo with UFEI. If i cant access f12 how the FFFFF am i supposed to boot this computer to the usb? Please guys i came here once before and i did not receive much help but a couple of links that did no help AT ALL.

The error i am getting is: Recovery
File:\ BCD error code 0xc0000034

Dude does F2 or any other key defined by lenovo allow you get into BIOS?

The error code ur receiving is a corrupt boot sector, and it can be fixed by running startup recovery.

I dont think so man. Ive been reading a lot and it says that new computers with uefi dont have start up key options such asf f etc. The only thing i can access right now is the UEFI screen.

Forget about links you have been reading.
You CAN and it is possible to get into BIOS.

Do you even know the function key needed for BIOS? it's F2 or F1 or F10 or I don't know.
As soon as pc starts booting you need to keep pressing one of those key until you see BIOS screen.

EDIT:
Please provide name, make and model of your machine. the key depends on these things.

okay i found it. it gives me 4 options. Normal start up, BIOS setup, Boot Menu and system recovery. which one do i do, also i dont want to lose all my files because in the system recovery option it says i will lose them if i didnt back them up. But ive read that for this type of error i shouldnt have to wipe my computer

First of I do not want to responsible for any data loss.

1. Your stick needs to be inserted into USB port.
2. In order to boot from USB you need to enter BIOS setup and there switch from "secure boot" to "legacy".
3. while in BIOS, in boot order options USB needs to be listed as first option
4. save BIOS settings and reboot

NOTE: Switching from "secure boot" to "legacy" will prevent you to boot into Windows installed on HDD.
You will need to switch these settings back later in order to get into Windows

i changed the boot mode to "legacy Support" and that gave me a new option to change boot priority from UEFI FIrst to LEgacy. what do i do for that? I dont see a boot order menu in here btw

MY USB does not show up. In that case what do i do? IF this is windows 8 and the USB is windows 8.1 does that make a difference?

Legacy first, but you can also try to just put the USB to the top, without changing boot mode and see if that works.

Leave boot mode on UEFI and just change the boot priority, as told above and reboot with F10 key, if that does not work (ex. no boot from USB) then change boot mode to legacy first and reboot again by pressing F10 key while in BIOS

I have no clue what windows you have on USB and what Windows you have installed on PC. I think startup recovery should work with any windows version but I never tried that so I'm not sure

If you do not know how to install new windows you will most likely permanently lose your data

In order to fix your PC you need to click on "Repair my computer"
Then select an option to called "Startup recovery"

In the future when things are fixed & running good I suggest making a system image with Macrium Reflect Free

I suggest it because I use it & it works good.
I use the paid version because of the boot time recovery environment.
If you try it format your USB as NTFS & not Fat32 so you get 1 big image file instead of a bunch of 4 GB files.
