Solved Using Windows button + W (searching with 8.1)

Hello,

When I press the windows button + w it opens some sort of search bar. But it's always set to 'Settings' but I want it to always automatically be set to 'All' (I dont know how it's translated into English as my windows is Dutch).

Basically, I want to be able to even search for programs with the windows button + w shortcut.

There are different options depending on how you do it, Win Key + Q should do what you are after

Windows Key + W is a shortcut to searching the settings
Windows Key + Q will search everything, including apps

There is also Windows Key + F which will default to searching for files
