Hello.

Recently my laptop ran into a problem with reading/writing to the drive. I was playing GTA V the one day, and the next, the computer was extremely slow. GTA V textures would completely fail at loading, and my game was running at about 7-10 frames (40 average). This worried me, so I decided it was time to reinstall windows. I formatted my drive and performed a clean install.

EDIT. Before reinstalling my PC hit a BSOD error twice: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

I installed all my usual drivers again (GPU, Chipset, etc) and with that, I installed Blender. When using blender I tried opening a project of mine, and the program just froze and didn't do anything after that. I tried opening the file from explorer, and it opened just fine! After getting the file open, I decided to export a UV mesh (plain .png) from inside the application. It just closed as soon as I pressed "save".

It seems as if every application except windows/microsoft applications, fail completely at reading/writing.

I've tried just about everything there is to try. Below there are some reference pictures as of writing this post.

Thanks in advance
Ruben

I don't have a solution but that Dell Inspiron 15R/N5110 was introduced in early 2011. It's getting rather old as Notebooks go and it may not have the 'horsepower' to run the bigger games. As I recall, back then Notebooks were just gaining in popularity for gamers, the ones I know have switched to the Alienware [owned by Dell] which are usually more expensive but have the power needed by gamers.
