changing boot animation

i used windows 7 boot updater and when I clicked apply and restarted to test it showed windows vista safe mode boot animation but I still can boot to the desktop

how can I fix this

no I have dual booted windows 8.1 with 7

Did you Try to restore it from a backup?
or find an online bootres.dll and replace the one in this folder:

when I replaced bootres.dll with the one you gave me and restarted it showed only "Starting Windows" and then replaced with vista progressbar
