Hi,
i want to recover an user account i backuped first. To restore the startscreen i overwrote the "appsFolder.itemdata-ms". This worked for all the Apps, but not the pinned Internet Explorer websites.

I also copied the whole "Local\Microsoft\Internet Explorer" Folder, with all the pinned tiles, but still i don't see them.

Any Ideas? :)

...roaming MS windows internet explorer quick launch user pinned taskbar?
Yeah, I tried that too, doesn't work for me either. You have to Re-PinToTaskbar each and every one, in each account.

Ah, sorry. I meant pinned websites on the Startscreen, not the Taskbar.

Anyway I could get them back when i overwrote the whole "Local" and "Roaming" Folder expect the Userdat.CLASS files.

But still it would be nice to know, what files excatly do you have to copy to get the pinned websites back.

Sorry for misunderstanding! You did say StartScreen. I'll be watching this thread to learn more about Windows 8.
