This should probably be posted elsewhere on this forum, so apologies in advance.
I've installed the 8250 CP version under VMWare Player and have been experimenting with it for a week or two.
It supports most of my apps and the older ones I have to use VM XP to use anyway, since even Windows 7 doesn't support them.
Yes, the Metro screen and lack of a Start button does come as a bit of a shock at first, but having trawled through this and other forums, I've managed to customize the metro screen the way I like it.
The idea of using the mouse to navigate to the corners of the screen is a bit of a no-no, but I assume M$ designed the interface primarily with touch screens in mind.
I find it fairly easy navigating using keyboard shortcuts, a tad regressive maybe, even going back to DOS days, but I keep reminding myself that this is a beta incarnation.
Tho' not a great fan of M$, I hope they pick up on the views of this and other forums and create a better product than 7 in the final release; a big call in my opinion.
