Extension Cable for Power Supply

I want a longer cable for my PC's power supply but I'm not sure what kind of extension I should purchase in order to do so. I would rather just purchase the same kind of cable that came with my PSU (only longer of course) oppose to using a extension cord. Can anyone offer any advice as to what kind of cord I could use?
Thanks.

Believe standard on most PSU are about 5-6' . I would not use an extension cord. Of course plug into a surge protector, try get a quality one, not cheap one.

I have bought from this company before, have many sizes in feet, good quality. can't be beat in prices. Power Cords w/ 3 Conductor PC Power Connector - Monoprice.com Google around, many other sellers on internet, never beat there prices though.

18AWG should be fine, but can go for thicker if you like 16AWG

Your welcome. If feel might want to go with 16AWG because PSU is 900W be good too. Otherwise for price, good enough at this site.
