Solved Running Win8 on an SSD

Running Win8 on an SSD. I found "Optimize" or Disk Defrag and unchecked the Scheduled weekly Optimize.
It shows Admin badge on the button. It now shows "Turn On" so it is off.

Anything else or is that all that is needed to turn off defrag.

Hello Mike,

Yep, if it says "Turn on" then it means that it's currently turned off.

That should be about it for a SSD, but others may have some more suggestions to help as well. :)

In Windows 8, you want it to run optimization. That's its trim feature. If you run defrag C: /O, you'll see that it runs trim.
