Need help bad laptop won't boot after update
I have a Lenovo iideapad u530 running 8.1. Has worked fine until I turn it on last night and it starts doing updates, the updates took almost 2 hours and now it won't start up, just gets stuck on login screen when it even makes it that far, one time it actually took me to a screen where it says activate windows and a button for PC settings but it goes nowhere when I press it, is there anyway to boot into recovery mode? I got to the login screen and held shift and pressed restart but that didn't go anywhere, I have tried shift and f8 during boot and nothing, has UEFI bios and a hybrid drive. Am I screwed? Never made a recovery USB drive. I just got to my login screen and I put in my pin and it goes nowhere. What did the friggen windows update do to my awesome laptop. Any suggestions?
