Update below, good news!
Hello,
I just thought of registering to say I'm suffering from this exact same problem described in this thread and also
here. I can't recall the exact starting moment of the problem, but it was somewhere around last weekend (around 13.3.2015). I've tried updating my drivers all around, going back to generic mouse drivers as suggested by some for this type of problem and in general tried to appease the Machine Spirit, but to no avail.
About 30 minutes after rebooting my laptop the system interrupts start taking up more and more CPU when I'm moving the cursor (both with the mouse and the touchpad), up to about 20-30% at which point just the general use of the computer becomes difficult due to the stuttering movement of the cursor. Another reboot, or unplugging and replugging the mouse fixes the problem temporarily, again for about 30 minutes or so.
Hopefully this problem gets recognized soon and a fix becomes available.
Update: Came across
this solution.
In short:
- Ctrl-Alt-Del and go to Task Manager
- Find process called Intel Technology Access - Service
- End task
This seems to have worked for me instantly, and now about 30 minutes later things are still fine. Word of warning, though: Some people apparently can't get online after ending the task. This is a reason why you might not want to uninstall said program, but that means you have to repeat the process every time you reboot your computer.
Still not the most optimal solution, but something that placates the Omnissiah for now.
Unless I come back to say otherwise, this solution will have fixed the problem for me.
