A Belarc scan informs me that the Product Key listed on my Windows 8.1 Tablet is probably not what is required by MS as the OS was installed by the manufacturer, not by me. I have read a number of postings on another Forum related to this but not one that answer the basic question ---- how and from where do I get a replacement Key?

I understand that I may need this to carry out some 'repairs' to the Store and tiles, which seem to have been made necessary by the recent Windows Update ----- the Store / Apps Troubleshooter which has solved the problem on previous occasions, has not been successful this time.

:ditto: Is it activated? Other than Belarc, what makes you think your key is no good? IMHO it doesn't get much better than a factory OEM embedded key. You can't lose it and don't need to even know what it is.

And thanks to you too, alphanumeric. You have both helped me avoid going on a wild goose chase it seems.
