The last few days or so my Acer laptop has been making a strange clicking sound (even when I have all sounds off) when I jump around buffering bar on Youtube videos or click on a youtube video as it begins. I reinstalled flash, firefox, chrome, to no avail. I updated my graphics driver and it seems to have only reduced how often it occurs. The sound seems to be coming from the speakers, but it doesn't come through any plugged in speakers so it seems like it might be mechanical. The issue doesn't seem to appear when watching videos downloaded my computer, or games, etc.

I disabled my Realtek High Definition Audio in Device Manager which seems to have stopped it, but of course it also disables all sound on my computer. This leads me to believe that it's Realtek's fault. What action should I take next?

Acer Aspire v5 laptop, Windows 8.1

Edit: Just noticed the sound section. Can a mod move this thread?

UPDATE

I went to device manager and uninstalled the Realtek Audio Device, also checked "Delete the software for this device", and restarted. Now, my computer has replaced it with "High Definition Audio Device". The sound seems to be working and the popping seems to be gone! I don't know what is wrong with realtek drivers, but I will update this thread for future knowledge if anything changes.
