Windows 8 shut down during updates, won't turn on at all

Earlier today I made the mistake of accidentally turning off my computer while it was updating. I tried to restart it afterwards and it won't do anything. I can hear the computer running and the light is on but nothing will appear on the monitor and the keyboard is not lit up. It won't even show the booting screen, my monitor doesn't even recognize that the computer is plugged in. I'm using an ASUS desktop computer.

Did You hit the power button and turned it off or used the shut down or restart command ? First thing to try is a hard reset and see if it will start up after that. Good Luck

I hit the power button not paying attention to the fact it was updating. I've tried everything I know and I'm trying to get it to reset but nothing will show up still.
