I have been getting a message box with the code LNG00831. Happens while I'm in any browser. I will X out of this without any further problem. But when I try to shut down the computer it will not fully shut down and I end up holding down the power button to do so. Running Windows 8. Please Help.

What's the result in another browser?

Its happened in Firefox and Google. But since posting this fault code, The computer was on the desktop for about a half hour unattended. When I came back to it The same message box was present on the desktop . The laptop had booted up and I got a phone call. So no work of any kind was done. I then did a shutdown to see if it would shutdown completely or it would do what it did in the past only shutdown the screen with no HDD activity showing which would cause a hold down of the power button. But this time it did a full shutdown on its own. So all the symptoms I reported seem not to be the case. The box pops up whenever it feels like. And I'm now unsure if it has anything to do with the intermittent shutdown stalls . Thanks....

During the error massage open task manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) and try to find out winch service is responsible for this problem. Probably you'll get the annoying service there. Next you can try sfc /scannow and feedback.

Wanted to thank you for your help. I found the message was coming from a program that I uninstalled months ago. And as you suggested it did show the fault under the program in task manager. I then found it in the C drive, Due to the fact that I uninstalled it in the control panel I only had the option of using a file shredding program. Once I was certain there was no other program attached to that file I shredded the folder and sub folders to the program then ran the scan to make sure all was well. And all has been fine since. Thank You for your help.
