Hello,

I have a problem with deleting some PDF files (not all) - when I try to delete them, I get the following message:
"The action can't be completed because the file is open in another program".

I dont see anywhere that the file is really opened in another program. what's causing this problem, and how can I delete these PDF files?

Thanks

Most likely you opened the pdf with reader - when you close reader it does not really close and retains the pdf files..

If you open task manager you will see that reader is still a running process - even though it is closed..

All the metro apps seem to do the same thing - you close and the process stays open.

A use Adobe reader as default..

As always with locked files you can use the free program "Lock Hunter" to determine what is locking the corresponding file(s). It also unlocks the file(s) for you.

The easiest is to reboot. That will release all the handles.
