    Windows 8.1 Freezes Randomly

Hello I'm having trouble with my PC. It randomly freezes, and it takes about a minute or so for everything to become operational once again. Pages stop loading, apps stop opening, video starts playing on a short loop. I don't know what's wrong with it anymore. This problem has been happening for some time now (a few months). Usually if I remove something like a USB, or hard drive, the PC will run fine for a few hours, and then the problem returns. The problem occurs a few times a day.

Here is my PC specs (I built it myself):
    AMD FX-8350
    GTX-780 SC
    Samsung Evo 840 SSD
    MSI 990FXA GD80
    8gb Corsaair Vengance
    Corsair RM 750
    H80i CPU cooler
Here's a list of the things I've tried:
Installing all fresh video drivers, updated motherboard bios, disconnected my soundcard, disconnected all USB periphereals (except mouse and keyboard), reformatted, and reinstalled windows (several times), disconnected all internal hard drives (except for the hard drive with the OS).

Additional notes: I don't belive I have aproblem with overheating. All my temperatures look to be normal when my pc freezes (GPU ~ 31C, CPU~20C, SSD~32C, MOBO~35C and ~30C)

I have attached the event viewer log to see if anyone can try to help me out here.
Thank you so much for your assistance.

Does the screen totally freeze where there is no movement whatsoever?

I did some searches on some of the values you posted in post#3, for event id 2006 I found Getting an Event Error : 2006 and there was an error with the - Microsoft Community

    for keyword 0x2000000000000001 I found

both are related to Windows location provider -which I am not going to pretend to understand (I've never heard of it until now).

There is also a Windows Location Framework service. If that service happens to be running, I suggest stopping it and disabling it, and see if this makes your problem go away. I don't know what problems disabling it might cause, I just know that on my desktop it is currently set to manual and it is not running.

I don't think that error has much to do with it anymore. My PC just froze again 30 minutes after the most recent error in the event viewer.

The screen doesn't totally freeze. I can still swap between applications, I am just unable to do anything in them during the minute when the PC is frozen. It lasts about 60 seconds, and then resumes working as if though nothing had happened.

I am guessing that the "kernel event tracing" error messages either span, or immediately precede, the length of time that your computer is unresponsive- if not than you should probably disregard what follows.

Here is a MS Technet link to someone reporting such an issue, there are links on the left side of the page to other pages with similar issues -

Various things can be responsible for causing those errors - one page I skimmed talked about the Home Group, another Windows Media Center. I am going to suggest just skimming around pages with similar symptoms and look for a solution that could apply to your set-up.

I am sure you were hoping for better help than that. Maybe someone else here knows exactly what is causing your problem, but I sure don't. Sorry.

I've now noticed that when the computer freezes, It's disk usage does up to 100%. I've tried most suggestions out there, but can't seem to find the right one. Nothing I do seems to fix the problem. If I can't find the issue, I'm just going to go back to windows 7 to avoid further problems.
