I recently decided to buy Windows 8.1 but I am unable to even begin the installation. It comes up with two errors here they are.

{The procedure entry point _CxxFrameHandler3 could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll.}.

As well as...

{The file 'autorun.dll' could not be loaded or is corrupt. Setup cannot continue. Error code is [0x7F]}.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, if you need any pc info it may be helpful to point out how to find that out, Since I'm not all that privy to specs and such.

hello and welcome to eight forums , How are you doing the install .
you need to boot to the dvd [if that is what you bought ] and install it as a new windows install .

You can't upgrade from winxp to win8.1,[to the best of my memory ,its been so long ] you have to do a full/fresh install .
so if that is what you tried it may be the cause of the errors .you will need to backup your personal file ,like pictures /music and documents . you will loose all software you have running in winxp

installing from Windows XP Pro to Windows 8.1
Facedesk to that!
You can't upgrade from XP to any Vista-based OS. Different kernels, different programming, different everything. What you're trying to do is the same as trying to put an American V8 engine in a Yugoslavian Zastava Yugo. It just won't fit.
Besides, I'm 100% sure you're running Setup.exe from the Windows 8 DVD in desktop mode which is a mistake. Windows should be installed only from a booted CD/DVD and never in desktop mode.
