Before i start telling you about my problem im gonna tell you im the worst at computers, so ANY help is appreciated.

So, i got this new computer from a friend. Only thing he removed was his harddrives so when i got the computer i put in my harddrive and first my screen didnt work but after just restarting it 3-4 times it suddenly worked.
So when the computer started it worked for about 10~mins bfore i get this message with a sad smileyface ''A problem has occurred on your computer. It must be restarted. First comes the error information that is collected and then carried restart automatically." (google translated it) (http://img.mywindows8.org/images3/blue-screen-error-of-death.jpg Its exactly like this picture except It just says the text an error has accoured, windows will collect the info then restart)
It doesnt restart tho, it just shut downs instant after 2 seconds that message appears.

So ofc i started it again but it keeps crashing, then after some search on google from my laptop it said i should go to safe mode and download some drivers and while being in safemode i never crashed so i downloaded some drivers, graphic etc. Then i started normal, and it seemed to work. I opened a game and it worked really smooth, then i had to downlaod another driver since i apperntly downloaded wrong one. When i did that my computer just went from superfast to superslow and a minute after that it crashed again with the blue popup bfore.

And here i am now, with my computer not even getting longer then 30 seconds after entering the password to login without crashing. It even crashed on startup sometimes. I should maybe mention that i cant even go to safemode since i dont have time to do it since it crashes bfore i get the chance to chose the option in msconfig.

What ive tried
- tried formatting through win8 option, no usb or cd.
- took out all parts of the computer
- restarted it alot!
- Changed cables

Graphic card nvidia gtx660 ti
motherboard z77-d3h gigabyte

I dont know what to do anymore.. I just want this to work.
If smone out there would try to help me it would be greatly appreciated!
If u need to know something just say and i will get the info u need!

Reinstall Windows on clean HDD first, switching from another computer usually doesn't work to good, After adding proper drivers and everything working would eliminate HW problems which can be numerous.
About HW, make sure it's clean from dust and doesn't overheat, all the power connections are good and tight and video card and RAM are inserted right and contacts clean. Take them out while computer is disconnected from power and replace them carefully.

Wow thanks for helping!

So if i put together my old computer and then use the windows 8 reinstall thingy, you know going to settings and then full recovery. Is that ok as a reinstall? Or do you want me to use a usb or cd?

Put that drive in the computer you are going to use and best thing would be to install windows from scratch and during install delete and remake partition. You can also try to repair windows on the computer you are using that drive on but clean install is always preferable. It doesn't matter if you install or repair using USB or CD as long as they are bootable.
Bottom line is that windows (or any other OS for that matter) gives best results when installed on a computer they will stay on. There are many drivers that are installed during OS installation which my not support another computer's hardware.

Well i mean the way im doing it (reinstalling) is doing it from the win8. Like going to settings then general tab and 'Remove everything and reinstall windows'.
But since i cant get passed writing my password without crashing, that makes it impossible to do through the new pc.
So what im asking is, is it ok do the the full reinstall on my other pc then put the new fresh harddrive in the new?

Im sry if im being retarded.

Yes, sure, as long as OS stays on the computer it's installed on. Of course you will need license for each system if you are going to keep both.

Yes that's the question. install/reinstall windows on the computer you are going to keep that drive in. Otherwise you'll be in the same pickle again.

Hm.. Im trying to install windows through a bootable cd but when i choose the cd in the boot menu i come to a blue winflag and black background and after 1-2~mins it turns off. What can cause it to just turn off like that?
Thanks you for still helping me!

Well, i dont think so because i get the option to choose the cd and even if i leave the computer after pressing F12 (where i can choose every boot startup) it still shuts downs after roughyl 1-2mins.. I feel so stupid :[

Edit: Im pretty sure it can read the cd since even if i enter i think it was called EoiF dual bios settings or im not sure about eoif but smth simillar. I could be there on the settings for 1-2 mins then i just started going superslow and eventually shut down.
Could it be something with wires or smth?
