Hello friends, this has been going on with my PC for the past couple of weeks, and I would like to know if there's a way to fix it that I haven't already tried.
Here's an explanation on what's the problem, and what i've ultimately tried.

(Explanation):
So I turn my PC on, it boots up as it should, and it redirects me to the user login page. I enter my password, and it waits for about 20 seconds, then "logs in", and loads a screen screen (in which I can see my mouse).

I thought I was on to something for a while, I pressed ctrl alt delete, and I clicked "Task Manager" in the navigation it gave me, from there, I clicked a file that was so-called running on my pc, and clicked "Go to source of file", which took me to "This PC", where I could view the contents of my desktop.

(What I've tried):
Booting into safe mode (Holding shift)
Booting into safe mode (Holding F8)
Booting into safe mode (Holding FN+F8)

Safe mode just doesn't boot up at all.

In the "This PC" thing which I talked about before, I could go to Device manager and uninstall drivers, which I tried, and failed. I reinstalled those drivers (by clicking google chrome in the this pc), and downloading updated drivers for my video card ( (Asus) nVidia GeForce GTX 970), which didn't work. I've searched everywhere, and no solutions such as going into the UEFI BIOS boot menu and disabling secure boot, changing boot options around, etc worked. Nothing.

What I have in my PC (to further inform you about the problem)

1) Windows 8.1 64bit
2) (Asus) Nvidia GeForce GTX 970
3) Intel i7 4790k

650 Watt power supply for my Asus Monitor.
