I recently refreshed Windows 8, and I have a problem with the start menu and the app menu. I can only see a small portion of the Start Menu and I can't scroll down to see the apps. I included a screenshot that shows what the menu looks like. If you are wondering about the white box, I just drew that to cover my last name.Thanks.
Make sure that all Windows Updates are installed.
From and Command Prompt (Admin) type sfc /scannow
If all corrupt system files are not fixed type Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Then run the sfc command again
It may appear to be frozen but let these command run their course.
Have XP Virt. Mach. on Win7.
