I'm not really used to posting in forums so I'll just try to explain my issue first. I did a system restore on Windows 8.1 the other day to restore some of my display settings and drivers. For whatever reason, the restore said it didn't take, but the settings were restored and my system had rolled back to a previous date (about three weeks prior). My system has been fine otherwise except for today I noticed an error in the task scheduler.
When you first open the scheduler, it has an error message along the lines of "License Validation task contains value which are out of range." I did some research and found someone with the same issue who posted a fix which was to replace the corrupted task with a non-corrupted one. That person also linked a copy of their own license validation task .xml file to the post, but the file they linked was actually just the same bad copy (contains 51 lines of code as opposed to the needed sixty-something lines). So, long story short, I would really appreciate if someone could provide me a copy of the file at "C:\Windows\System32\Tasks\Microsoft\Windows\WS\License Validation".
I am pretty sure all I need to do is remove the corrupt file and import the correct one into my scheduler once I get it. I am also curious to know if anyone has any guesses as to why this may have happened and if there is anything else I should check for system stability? Thanks in advance!
