Hello,

Hello All,
I am currently using windows 8.1..
I saw a folder icon with no name on desktop..
I want to delete it, by right click on that icon , I saw options:
-Open
-Pin to start
-Create short cut
and even if i choose "Open" it nothing..
How can i wipe this out from my desktop?
Thanks

hi topgundcp, could you maybe explain the code? I do have a similar problem as veasnagmail but I am hesitant to use this code that I do not understand. My folder is called 'db.db'. Kind regards, Siso

Maybe stupid question but here goes anyway. Click on desktop, hit F5 (refresh) and it's still there?

If you can highlight the folder, can you just press the delete key on the keyboard? If that doesn't work, then you will have to do it a different way. For example, boot into safe mode and the delete the folder. Hope this helps.

You can always boot the computer with a Windows PE USB stick and then delete it that way. You could also use a Linux USB stick to do the same thing. I carry one with me at all times just for issues like these. I use a Windows PE USB flash drive. I had to create the one I used. I know for a fact you can download a ready made Linux iso file and then burn to a usb flash drive and you'll be good to go. Hope this helps.

The code just list all the folders on the desktop and silently remove them.
