Replaced User folder with Contacts folder, how to restore?

So I was trying to remap my User folders (e.g. Documents, Pictures) to a different drive by changing the location. What I accidentally managed to do is (I think) migrate my Contacts folder with my User folder. Now, when I go into C>Users, instead of my name, I see the actual Contacts folder. When I go into it, it has all my user folders, but I can't rename it and I don't know how to get it back to normal. I was having trouble restoring the contacts folder with the rest of my user folders but I managed to do that. Now I have... two Contacts folders? One is in with the rest of my user folders, the other IS my User folder. Please help me fix this mistake.

See if this helps, User Folders - Restore Default Location - Windows 7 Help Forums. I've accidentally messed them up myself by clicking the wrong folder. Restoring defaults fixed it for me. The tricky part is whether to move the contents back or not. I'm think you shouldn't, at least not automatically anyway.

Before you read much more of this post - is everything back to normal except that you have two Contacts folder?
If the rest of your User folders are still 'missing' then you can ignore the rest of this.

Launch a command prompt (it doesn't have to be elevated for this exercise)
Enter the following command:
dir /aL /s

Look at how the <JUNCTION> entries are used. This is where things might confuse folks.
Then first reference is the directory link
The second reference is the real folder

In your case, it seems that you have a real folder named Contacts and a JUNCTION named Contacts that points to a real folder
The dir will tell you what folder the JUNCTION points to.

How do you fix it?
Open the properties page on either one, if there is a location tab, open that tab and select restore default.

It might complain about the other Contacts fodler or it might fix the relationship - not sure.
If it complains - rename the other Contacts folder Contacts-x
Then try the location tab, restore default again.

None of my User folders are missing. I managed to put their location on a different drive, which was my original intention. However, when I go to C>Users, instead of seeing my name, I see the actual Contacts folder which has replaced my name. Inside the contacts folder would be my User folders (if I hadn't relocated them), and a few other folders that are kept inside my "David" folder. At this point it seems to be a non issue but I still don't like having my User folder be the Contacts folder. I can't rename it or delete it and I don't know how to get it back to "David."

If you post the dir info I might be able to help - I know I was the one who said "Don't read the rest of this post ..." but please read the rest of that post and let me see what the output says.

Thanks.
