Looking a for some guidance here. I have a Toshiba Satellite C55t-A5222 laptop that went into the dreaded "Automatic Repair Loop". I attempted to boot in Safe Mode to go from there. Upon rebooting (in Safe Mode), my laptop remained at the "Please wait" screen with the spinning dots for hours. After another hard reset, I attempted to boot it up again. This time with a recovery thumb drive I made from from my son's desktop. Same thing.... "Please wait" for hours. Frustrated, I decided to boot up in system recovery by holding down "0" while powering up the laptop. Same thing..... "Please wait". I am at my wits end and know of nothing else to do. The laptop will not boot past "Please wait" now. I am running Windows 8.1 but unsure of which version (32 or 64 bit). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried restarting it shutting off 3 or 4 times quickly to get advanced boot options ?

Thanks David. Doing that actually got me past the "Please wait". Note I'm back at the Automatic Repair Loop. I've tried to boot up using the recovery thumb drive but still stuck in the loop.
Windows start to boot as normal, "preparing automatic repair" is shown, and it then goes to AUTOMATIC REPAIR options page. Anything done there seems to start the process over again. I was able to get this info from the STARTUP REPAIR option:

Startup Repair could not repair your PC.
Log file: C:\WINDOWS\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.text

Any ideas where I go from here. I can get as far as Advance Options for System Restore, System Image Recovery, Startup Repair, Command Prompt, UEFI Firmware Settings, and Startup Settings.
