I recently received a brand-new HP Pavilion 10-e010nr laptop for Christmas. I went through the setup process and it went smoothly. I quickly noticed that the computer was slow, even before installing anything, but thought nothing of it at first, until a day or two later; then it got annoying. I did a bit of research and saw that if you selected "Express setup" you might have a slow laptop in your hands whereas "Custom setup" would allow you to disable unneeded background process and have a faster, well-running PC. I have also noticed an almost-constant high CPU usage and certain IE add-on blockage due to the add-ons "not being compatible w/ IE's enhanced security features." I have never experienced this before and I'm very confused on what to do.
Some friends of mine suggest a fresh install of Windows, while others say they aren't sure if a fresh install will work, some say to return the PC, and others just have no clue on what's happening.
Any future help is appreciated!
