well sam, i figured it all out!
the reason perfmon gave the error was duo to not having intel smart connect tech installed..
i went to device manager and tigged the show hidden devices.. and i put in the driver cd and let it update from that...
then i went to msi site and downloaded the latest.
now everythings fine with the perfmon, and the same with the devices and printers no longer the error there.

A little bit more on using Event Viewer: I said earlier
Not everything that event viewer shows as an error is really a problem.
A good example is on my Windows 7 laptop; being that I use a prepaid mobile broadband UUSB dongle I don't need the built in wifi so I've disabled the adapter in "Network Connections" for obvious security reasons. Now when I run System Health or look in Event Viewer it shows an Error or a red dot, for the system the adapter has an error but for me it doesn't. The event viewer is a tool for when your experiencing problems for something specific and maybe can find the cause. The same thing goes for reliability history in Action center>Maintenance>View reliability history it can show what caused a program crash( a .dll or app or path) an example from my pc: Description The program LiveComm.exe version 17.5.9600.20689 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel.

Livecomm.exe is for the OUTLOOK.com apps such as Calendar, Mail & People, I probabley shut my internet off when it was updating, so the error is no big deal unless I was having problems with these apps.

Why is my PC trying to sync with Store Brink - I get this error frequently. When I tried your tutorial for manually syncing my Store apps, I found that I'm not Signed In to Store. No surprise because (a) I use only a local account on the Win 8.1 Pro 64-bit machine anyway and (b) I have never manually downloaded anything from Store -...
Why I HATE the ms store - can't DISABLE SYNC option Hi there
If I want to download say any free app from the store I get asked - first to confirm my password on the local account -- no big deal with that, then I have to set up a Ms account -- well I can even live with that I suppose --after all I set up a google account to download phone apps
Windows Store failed to sync machine licenses. 0x80070490 I too keep getting the "Windows Store failed to sync machine licenses. Result code 0x80070490" Event Log Message on one of the three machines I have W8.1 Update 1 installed on. I have done the Sync routine many times and I have "Disabled" the WSRefreshAppsListTask and yet I still get the Event Log...

The above is last error that I still have in Event Log. My understanding is that I should sing in with Microsoft store to get rid of this error. ...
Windows Store failed to sync machine licenses (0x80070490) Hi.
I have (also according to Windows Control Panel > Installed Updates) successfully installed KB2919355 on 13th Apr 2014. So to me, the KB2919355 is in place (and various KB installations after that, too) <- I do get all the Windows System updates (including security updates) BUT not Windows...
