Solved Computer stuck in BIOS after reset? Insert Boot Media 8.1

I recently reset my Gateway NV52L15u laptop computer in order to empty it out and restart back to factory basics. However, now if I turn it on, it goes straight to BIOS, telling me I need to "Insert Boot Media". I tried using my recovery drive, but that did nothing at all to fix it. Please help me, I need help on how to fix this.

In order to access the Recovery Manager you must repeatedly tap the F11 key at boot. However, if you have formatted the drive before hand, the recovery partition is gone and you will have to use Recovery Disks hopefully you made when you first got the computer. If no disks, you may be able to order them from the manufacturer.

Mike, do you have windows installation media?

you can download windows 8.1 media here - Create installation media for Windows 8.1 - Windows Help

go the gateway website and download your system's drivers

insert windows media into usb or cd/dvd - if it does not boot from the media and you get no media message,

reboot pc and hit F12 to enter boot menu - select the USB or CD/DVD to boot from (depending)

Does the BIOS detect that drive and list it? What is set as the first boot device in the BIOS? If it's not that hard drive (windows boot manager), is that drive in the list?

We have the Gateway NV52L15u laptop computer and system recovery discs as well as multiple functioning hard drives. We've successfully recovered this system in the past, but now the boot manager options screen generates without any options. The recovery process discs initialize, but the process stalls out as it can't seem to write to disc. Any thoughts?
