Me too! I could always use it as a drinks coaster .

I've hated every new OS from Win 3.1 upwards, but once the initial reaction was over and I had time to find my way around again, I calmed down and got on with it. There will always be features I don't like (usually ones that I don't want or need to use).

And I will avoid smart phones as long as I can find a simple push button model in my local shop (though a built-in camera would be a nice new feature for me).

It's a good job we don't all like the same things or there would be nothing to talk about .

    Windows 3.1 was OK

What about the OTHER edition though. !!!!! - We didn't have malware, pirate software or Internet Scams in those days !!!!!

    Happy Xmas everyone.

Hey, I put that flag on a XP computer to pull some inspector's leg, took them two days to check that perfectly legal system and find out what happened.

BSOD - Computer sleeps - computer crashes

Migrating Win7 & Win8 frm a BIOS computer to UEFI computer
Question: How would you approach this migration? I just bought a copy of Acronis True Image 2013 with Plus Pack. It appears that this is all I need as True Image will install the new motherboard drivers as part of the migration process. But do I stay with MBR or move to GPT? Presently both...

Ad hoc (computer to computer) network!!!!!!!!!!
Hi! As far as know in windows 8 only way creating ad hoc network is using cmd with admin priviligies. But in Windows 7 there was easy (graphical) way of it. Does anybody know that will MS make things easy in Windows 8.1. It is important for me because of working enviroment and I do not want to...

Are you also disappointed with the font rendering in win8?
I really now the basics from font rendering (subpixel rendering, hinting....) so it's not a wrong setting or something. Windows have only simple grayscale antialiasing for the modern UI fonts and even some elements on the desktop (the bold office fonts "HOME" "INSERT" .... for example...

Very disappointed...
Back at the end of December, I posted here that I had an EVGA SLI motherboard to give to the 1st person who responded and that all I was asking for was to pay shipping. A guy from the UK asked for the board, so on 1/3/2013 I sent it out and the shipping was $24, which I sent him an email asking for...

Take Windows 7 from Computer 1 and install to Computer 2
I don't know if I've posted this in the correct section, sorry. I was wondering if it's possible to take windows 7 from my first computer and install it to my new one that has windows 8 on it (windows 8 has problems with its wifi where windows 7 worked perfectly). If this is possible could...

Really disappointed.
I use Windows Media Centre on a 50 inch plasma in my living room. Win7 isn't geared up for it as there's no GUI for viewing from a distance. I set my text size to 200% and that just about does it. Anyway, after installing Win8, I was pretty pissed off to find Metro was small, with small text...
