I'm new to 8. I've noticed that laptops do not come with a COA sticker. The product key in the system menu will not work. How can you get the product key?

The key is burned into the chip on systems with UEFI BIOS. You can get the key with several different tools. Last three or four options here: http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/27129-product-key-find-windows-8-a.html
