Recycle Bin shutting down

Hi folks,

I'm having a strange problem on Windows 8.1, when I go into my recycle bin to look at what is in it...the window just closes! it does this every single time, I have also noticed that File Explorer has done it a couple of times.

Has anyone else had this?

Haven't had it but running this batch file might help.

View attachment dism.bat

Download it, right click it & click Properties & Unblock it & right click it & choose Run as administrator.
It takes 2 hours or so to finish.
You can leave it run in the background until it is done.

Will give it a go...I did notice if there is no files in the bin it stays open but soon as there is a file in the bin it shuts down after you open it
