Now I have no administrator rights and can't log in as an administrator to change the account type? I'm assuming there's no real solution here other than delete and reinstall?

If you're dual booting, keep pressing F8 at bootup to get to safe mode to do your dirty work from there.

If you're not dual booting, I don't think F8 works by default.

I have other ideas, so let me know what your situation is and if you're able to get there or not.

We got it worked out-I found someone that knew the super secret username/password combo with Administrator rights on our domain at work. We are testing this for work, hence why it's on the network there. Anyway, it let them log in and then modify my user accounts to administrator instead of just user. Not best practice, but trying to just get around with the least hassle possible.

Thanks!

Glad to hear it.

There's nothing secret at all about the account "Administrator" with no password at all. I just didn't suggest it because I didn't know you were on a domain (which is very rare on forums.)

Thanks for telling us.
