Solved printscreen issue windows 8.1 using 3rd party screen cptur

ok basically i downloaded lightshot also hyperdesktop and a friends program called winpic i do zombiemapping for waw and in window mode when i used to push print screen i loaded up a area where i could print screen the area i want of the screen ( aka capture selected area ) but windows 8.1 when im in game and push print screen it does nothing at all and i dont know why this issue is occurring

also in skype when i press scare screens it just does nothing as well im not sure what the issue is with this and how to fix it so any help would be much appreciated

I don't know about your 3rd party apps. But I do know most folks don't need 3rd party apps with W8.1 to capture images.

Typically with W8.1, you press and hold the Windows key, then press the PrtScn key. At this point, your display dims for a second. This tells you the image was captured.

Then you look in the Pictures folder in your Library under your file name to see the captured images where you can print or save or whatever.

Also, Windows 8 has the Snipping Tool.

I highly recommend the Snipping Tool. At least, give it a try. I believe you will like it.

thank you ( and what i ment by 3rd party programs i mean like hyperdesktop in windows 7 if you pushed printscreen wile it was open it would allow you to select a area of the screen you want then upload it right to internet ) saves space on computer and adds a lot less time adding to internet your self lol ( me being lazy ) but for some reason when i push ctrl + printscreen it works with hyper desktop and uploads to internet witch is strange but cant complain i really like taking pictures when in game i used to just push print screen and slect the area i wanted to show and it uploaded it for me but windows 8.1 dont really allow me to do that wile in game it just does nothink but cntl_printscreen does its strange why normal printscreen dont work the way it used to but thankful it works with ctrl printscreen

for example this http://winpic.co/20k33e74.png makes life a lot easyier to just push printscreen and it loads right to this site
