Counting the number of particular process,

I couldn’t figure out if there is a way to count the number of particular process. For example, in the attached screenshot, the number of “ArcSoc.exe” is three.

Is there a way to count them automatically?

Thank you

Best

Jamal

You could click on the name column to sort processes by ascending/descending order. From the looks of things, your system is set up to sort based on disk activity right now.

Thanks asvent,

But how to count the number of ArcSoc.exe, for example? Is the only way to count them manually?

What I’m looking for is to have a way to count the number of “ArcSoc.exe” such that the answer is three in my case (as shown in the screenshot).

Click on the performance tab then on "Open Resource Monitor" at the bottom. Under CPU, you should see each process listed then see the number of "threads" for each process. That might give you a better idea of what is happening.

BUT I am finding several references to arcsoc.exe suggesting it, or some [perhaps fake] variants of it are malicious, or can be modified to become malicious. So have you scanned for malware and do you need this software?

Thanks Itaregid,

It appears that my question is not clear.

What I need is a tool that can count the number of “ArcSoc.exe”! that’s all.

For example, the number of the ArcSoc.exe in the attached screenshot = 14.

Is there a tool in windows that can count this number automatically?
