Solved Acer Aspire V5-122P-0649 Shuts down on lid close

Hey guy! So the title basically says my problem.

I have switched power plans, tweaked the settings, looked it up, and other stuff but I can't seem to figure out the problem. This laptop is about a year old and I have never changed any settings (except from different power plans) and it just started doing this recently. The laptop is not physically damaged in any way and neither are the inner workings (programs, code, and such). I would really love to know why this is happening because it shuts down the laptop completely and I need to restart it every time. It is really getting on my nerves because I have to open and close my laptop all the time to tote it around the school campus. If anyone has a fix or suggestions they would be well appreciated.

Most likely set for sleep or shut down if on battery in Power options. Simple Basic computer 101 stuff.

Yes, in Power Options as in the snip.

Never changed it.

OK, disconnect from mains, take out the battery and press Power button for 20-30 secs, re-connect the mains and see what happens.
EDIT:
Look for "when media sharing" settings in Multimedia settings under Advanced Power settings, if it's in "Away mode", switch to sleep by selecting from the dropdown menu.

Alright I did that. Now I guess we will wait until I need to shut my laptop again. Also, my model of laptop has a built in battery so I can't take it out.

Still shutting down on lid close. I have done all suggested fixes. Anything else?

Figured it out. Under power options, it was set so that my hard drive would shut off after about 4 minutes of inactivity.
