Yeah, so I put off and delayed my upgrade to windows 8.1, so I did it and now I have so many folders on my desktop they extend past the screen. If anyone has some suggestions it would be appreciated. Thanks! wZwjgPz.jpg

From what I can make out those yellow Folders carry the extension of .inf, usually used during the installation of things. I'd make another Folder named INF Files and move all those with the extension of .inf into it, probably won't cause any problem.

You did a rookie mistake, by expanding a .zip or other type of file to the desktop, which created all of those .inf folders.

If you move them into a Folder they should delete giving room for more to show on the Desktop, just keep moving them into that Folder, one at a time or hold down the Ctrl key while clicking a few to move en masse.
