Wake-up from "sleep" for incoming Skype call

I have searched for a solution that will enable my Win8.1 ASUS X54C laptop to wake-up from 'sleep' when an incoming Skype call occurs.

I am in the habit of putting my laptop in "sleep mode" when I know I will not use it for more than 30 minutes or so. Being retired, I am on and off my laptop many times a day, and I occasionally miss incoming Skype calls from family overseas if am not sitting at my laptop

I have searched for a solution, but have not found a 'fix'

Is there any way I can allow and incoming Skype call wake the laptop, and so (by my Skype ringtone) alert me that someone is trying to contact me on Skype?

hi,I don't use Skype myself ,but my search finds make sure 'wake on lan ' is set in the bios ,did you try that ,good luck

That "wake on LAN" as the first setting I tried .. no luck so far

Not possible, because with the computer in sleep mode, the software would never know a request is coming through. If you have a smartphone or tablet, set Skype up on one of those.

OK .. thanks for that confirmation that it cannot be done for Skype on a laptop.
