Windows 8, how to change Notepad default character script

Hi.
is there a way to change windows 8 notepad default character script?
the default is western and i have to change every time to my selection.

Yes that is correct that you have to change the font for Notepad. Notepad is not really meant to be used as a Word processor. It is really a leftover from the early days of Windows/GEM.

If it is installed one can use Wordpad, a lightweight word processor but still quite capable for a lot of uses and has a number of settings that can be changed much like in Word. A default installation of Win8 has it in Start, Windows Accessories.
