I've uploaded 2 images for your reference to my problem. As you can see from the image, for image1(ControlPanel), image2(Mail) , both are enclosed with a white bracket, if im not wrong, the bracket indicated that you can start navigate the pages using up down right left arrows. This feature automatically turned on when i switch on my laptop. It should not be like this previously, i believe that i did unintentionally pressed something on the keyboard that lead to this to happen.
I know its not a big problem but i doesnt feel good to see my window 8 has this feature automatically turned on. Please help me. Thanks

I don't have it by default. When I press the :winkey: nothing has focus (that is the box around it). When I press any of the arrow keys (down in this case) then a box appears aound the item with focus and is selected when you press enter. Is that what you mean?

First item top left (Start Screen) or top list item (Charms Bar) always has focus when either Start Screen or Charms Bar is opened, although the focus indicator is at this point invisible. Pressing Enter executes this first item with invisible focus indicator, to select any other item with keyboard and and make the focus indicator visible, use the arrow keys. This is a default Windows 8 / 8.1 feature.

In my case i dint press anything but the focus appear *its visible. Here is another example of problem : http://s25.postimg.org/ha1npjgfj/Captu1re.png , Normally, when u click the volume icon at the bottom right, there should be dotted line around the volume, but now i have it and i can dirrectly adjust the volume using up or down key.

Not sure what you are saying. I don't have the dotted line on the volume icon when I click on it but can increase or decrease it with the arrow keys.

Normally, when u click the volume icon at the bottom right, there should be dotted line around the volume
Not in my case, no - see below.
but now i have it and i can dirrectly adjust the volume using up or down key.
I can still adjust the volume using the keys...

Sorry - perhaps I'm just not understanding the question.

you can refer to my original question on top. So basically my problem is why the bracket (focus) appear automatically, yours is okay. When you open up charm bar, your icon wont be selected automatically with visible white bracket ( refer to image uploaded )

It looks different when opened thru Charm bar than from Task bar on desktop and has only main sound volume as opposed to taskbar one which has Mixer and all sound devices.

its obvious yours are highlighted ,ours are not ,but we/I can still start navigating with the arrow keys ,but finding out what caused it will be a challenge for sure ,you could try a system restore back to a time before it started doing so, or just ignore it as it doesn't cause any real problems with using windows
