Following this http://www.eightforums.com/general-support/28226-windows-8-1-refuses-sleep-172.html#post419284 thread I went to look for the task mentioned and I see no tasks have run. It has been this way since day one of this computer and doesn't matter what time period I select (last hour, 24h, 7 days, 30 days).

Why would it show no tasks, when clearly I have some set to run and they do run and complete? Plus there are other tasks that I didn't set that run as well.

EDIT: - Same issue for me... but you can run as your normal user and look here to see the last run time:

You have right click and run Task Scheduler as Administrator.
Where exactly in 8.1? Using Charms Bar I search "Task Scheduler" it brings up "Schedule Tasks" and right clicking does nothing. Alternatively if I go through Control Panel "Schedule Tasks" has the administrator shield next to it so I assume I am opening as the administrator (that is me) but I still get the same empty box.

I just edited my earlier post - run as administrator doesn't help - I was looking in the active tasks - sorry about that. I have same issue as you.

You can see the last run date/time if you select the Task Scheduler Library like the screen shot above (at least I can).

Wondering how the user I linked in my OP was able to do it? See his posted screenshot. Different than what you show.

This perhaps? No scheduled tasks running in Windows 7

I turned on Enable All Tasks History on the action tab and new task runs are now showing up.

EDIT: add picture
Bingo! I also turned on Enable All Task History about 45 minutes ago and there are already two tasks showing where before there were none. Mark this one solved. Thanks!
