The Charms bar is really the only thing I'm iffy about. is it customizeable? Is it really the best implementation?

Or you can glide the mouse pointer in the corners of the left side of the screen...

But I think the Charms bar needs work still. It works, but is there something better? That's my question, I've gotten used to it, but I wonder if there could be something of a nicer implement than that. In the Developer Preview, the side Charms were reserved for tablets and touch screens versus a little Charms menu on desktops.

I for one have trouble getting the charms to appear, I guess because I am not used to dragging my mouse beyond the screen bottom right corner of the which seems to activate it consistently

odd, it always works for me:
put curser to bottom/top-left corner of screen, then after a moment slide to the middle of the right side of the screen. then you can click any of those charms just fine.
