Another dumb question, sorry.

My new Windows 8 is an ASUS Desktop which came with a Wireless (Cordless) keyboard and a Wireless mouse. All works good but. It doesn't seem to have an indication light on the Keyboard to indicate Uppercase. Anybody got a clue as to what I need to do as I keep hitting caps lock and don't look up and see it till I am around the corner.
There is a small light at the top above the numerical pad which went red for a tenth of a second when I put a battery in and that's all.

Must be an older keyboard, yes? An Asus and web search brings up nothing. Would you have a link to a page?

Perhaps it's time to upgrade if you can afford it, or do what 4wd suggests.

That's a worry considering it arrived with my Brand New ASUS Desktop about 12 days ago.

Have you got the model number correct?

It would help to fill out all of your system specs. ;)

As an alternative, you could enable 'Toggle Keys' in Windows.
Press and hold 'NumLock' for five seconds then choose Yes in the prompt window.
You will then hear an audible warning when pressing 'NumLock', 'CapsLock' or 'ScrollLock'.
High pitch when engaged, lower pitch when disengaged.

Thanks mate, problem solved. I would have got back earlier but been out of town.
