Okay, I put 8 on a virtual machine. That cost me half my RAM and kept me on a small screen. But I started to like it, so...

I installed it onto a partition, and it works fine.

I've been steadily installing free apps from the web and transferring programs over from Win 7, and....aaarrrgghhh!!!!! I'm being assimilated!

So far I'm happy with Windows 8, but I'm going to wait until I have buyer's guarantee before making it my main OS.

IceFire, I see no need to delete my Windows 7 from another partition, and a problem dawned on me today.

When you actually buy the full 8 OS, it will be a lot cheaper to buy the upgrade version. And that will mean saying "Good-bye" to Win 7.

I only have a 60GB ssd, and no way in heck an i going to install an OS to my HDD

That's my plan, providing there aren't any significant differences between an upgrade install and a clean install.
