In laptops: the machine doesn’t respect the set power options,

As the “turn off the display” is set to be “never”, then if the laptop is restarted then this option is changed in its own and the value of never is switched to other value like “15” (attached).

What might be the issue here?

Who to fix the value of “turn off the display” is to be “never” and to be kept never even in case of restart or electricity power cut?

Thank you

Best

Jamal

Your laptop may have software which came with it and it's settings would take precedence over windows settings.

Are you sure you are looking at the same power scheme each time (ie., "Balanced" vs "Power")? Or maybe you are looking at the settings when you are running on battery, versus when you are plugged in to the wall? The settings will be different for both.

Or, as CountMike suggested, do you have any proprietary software that came with your laptop that is overriding the Windows settings? Many laptops have their own software that regulates the machines power consumption. Look for any factory software already installed on your computer that pertains to this.

Many thanks CountMike and lastof for the help,

Please, have a look on the settings of my first machine.

What should I do to let the display permanently ON?

At the first picture: "Turn display After" to Never. You may want to keep some t saving when on battery.

This is my issue!

I choose it never BUT as the machine restarts, it reverts to 15 minutes!

How to keep this option to “never” even in case the machine is restarted?

Did you save the plan ?

Sure, I did save them!

By the way, I have the same issue on another machine (hp). Everything is set to be NEVER, nevertheless, the display is turned OFF

What other settings should override these settings?

At all. I assume that such settings are managed at the level of windows and there is nothing to do with the manufacturer's settings.

Am I correct?

Not necessarily, some have programs or control panel settings tailored for particular model. If yours doesn't have anything like that, than I don' know why your windows would not keep settings. Maybe if you create your own power plan it would hold and remember.
